Skicross racers are always in a hurry, and they were even more so on Friday.
In advance of a storm in Spain, the World Cup moved up its final skicross event of the season one day to Friday, and Canada's Chris Del Bosco, a dual-citizen from Eagle-Vail, finished fourth to lock up the No. 2 ranking in the world for 2009-10 season.
Del Bosco also helped the Great White North earn the honor of being the top skicross nation for the third year in a row.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1923, in Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Walter R.L. Fink; her parents, Margaret Moffett Hill and Joseph Hill; and brothers Jack and Tom and his wife, Vera Hill.
She is survived by her four sons, daughters-in-law and six grandchildren, Greg and Barbara Fink and their sons, Nicholas and Michael of Bear, Del., Larry and Jane Fink of Owensboro and their son, Zachary, and his wife Becca of Minneapolis, Jeff and Brenda

Army committed six errors Friday, leading to six unearned runs for Bradley as the Braves defeated the Black Knights 8-6 in the first game of a baseball doubleheader.
In the second game, Bradley pounded out 11 hits and scored only three runs, but it was enough for a 3-1 victory.
In the opener, sophomore left-hander Joe Bircher struck out eight and walked none as he evened his record at 1-1 and closer Kori Jensen recorded his first save of the season.

In the wake of celebrating a $7.7 million contribution to the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta's 2009 campaign, United Way in Cobb is hosting a new fundraiser on April 1, called Spell Check, to raise money for early childhood learning programs.
On March 4, the metro area United Way celebrated, announcing it had raised more than $79 million in 2009.
Cobb chapter leaders said their contribution, the $7.7 million, exceeded their goal by $100,000.
